Privacy Policy

Welcome to Show My Stats. We are committed to protecting your personal data and your privacy. This policy explains exactly what data the app reads, where it is processed, and the limited diagnostic information we collect to keep the app working well.

1. Health & Fitness Data (HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, Show My Stats reads the following from the Apple Health app:

• Workouts: distance, active energy burned, duration, workout type, and dates. Used to calculate and display your aggregated statistics (totals per year, month, and week), streaks, and charts.
• Steps: daily step counts, used for the Steps view and its yearly "wrapped" summary.

This is read-only access — the app never writes to or modifies your Health data. In line with Apple's HealthKit rules, your health and fitness data is never sent to any third party and is never used for advertising or marketing.

2. On-Device Processing

All of your health and fitness data is processed locally on your device. A cached copy of your workouts is stored on-device (using Apple's SwiftData) so the app can load quickly and work offline. This cache lives only on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

3. On-Device AI Chat

The optional "chat with your data" feature is powered by Apple Intelligence and Apple's on-device Foundation Models. Your questions and the workout figures used to answer them are processed entirely on your device by the operating system. Your health data and chat messages are not sent to us or to any external AI service. This feature is only available on devices that support Apple Intelligence.

4. Apple Watch & Widgets

If you use the Apple Watch app or Home Screen / Lock Screen widgets, your computed statistics are shared between your own devices and app components — from your iPhone to your paired Apple Watch via Apple's WatchConnectivity, and to widgets via a private on-device app group container. This data stays within your own devices and your iCloud/Apple ecosystem; it does not pass through our servers.

5. Diagnostics & Anonymous Analytics

To keep the app stable and understand which features are useful, the app uses two privacy-respecting third-party services. Neither service ever receives your health or fitness data (no step counts, distances, energy, durations, or workout details), and neither uses the advertising identifier (IDFA), so no App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown.

• Crash & Error Monitoring (Sentry): when the app crashes or hits an error, anonymous diagnostic information (such as the error, a stack trace, app version, and device model) is sent to Sentry so we can fix bugs. IP addresses and personally identifying information are disabled.
• Anonymous Usage Analytics (TelemetryDeck): we collect anonymous, aggregated interaction events — for example, which tab was opened, which view mode was selected, or that the Share button was tapped. These signals contain no personal data and no health values.

6. Settings

Your preferences — such as selected workout-type filters, the active time period, and view mode — are stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage.

7. No Ads & No Subscriptions

Show My Stats is a premium, user-focused application. We do not include third-party advertisements or advertising trackers, and we do not use subscription models that require tracking your payment or usage behavior for advertising purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
